MusicTank to do Tech in London

MusicTank’s next event will focus on tech, exploring “The future of music from its creation, performance, distribution and consumption through to fan interaction and interactive crowd experiences”.

Whilst that sounds like rather a lot to cram into one evening ‘Is Technology The New Beatles?’ will take place on Tuesday, September 16th from 6.30-9pm in the Fyvie Hall at University of Westminster in Central London.

A range of companies working on technological advancements will speak, including Immersive Album, Sofar Sounds and Musion. Jeremy Silver, author of Digital Medieval, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker.

MusicTank Chair Keith Harris, said: “The relationship between technology and music has been historically fraught, and set against a background of accusations of tech not understanding nor respecting the complexities of the music industry and the music industry being slow to adapt to innovation”.

Harris continued: “The tide is turning and we’re delighted to foreground some of the most innovative and exciting companies each of whom are truly innovative in their use of technology and we look forward to debating their vision of the future”.
