TRNSMT Signals T Break
Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro are set to headline Glasgow’s TRNSMT, the first edition of a new festival from the organisers of T In The Park.
Taking place from 7th-9th July at Glasgow Green, other acts announced include The 1975, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Belle & Sebastian, London Grammar and Two Door Cinema Club.
Boss man promoter of DF Concerts Geoff Ellis said: “We’re incredibly pleased to be bringing such a fresh, new festival to Scotland. TRNSMT will bring together the best in live music, from global acts to the best cutting edge artists on the King Tut’s Stage”.
Earlybird tickets for the non-camping event go on sale this Friday (3rd February).
Although pitched as a sister festival, TRNSMT is considered to be a replacement for T in the Park and is taking place across the same weekend that it would usually take place.
T is taking a break, having been besieged by problems ranging from drug related deaths and 54 arrests onsite last year to the presence of an Osprey nest (a protected species) at Strathallan Castle in Scotland, the site the event moved to in 2015.
