YouTube Sees Red, Launches App
YouTube has launched its dedicated music app after seeing red last month.
The app will recommend tracks for users alongside allowing them to create personalised stations. A blog post from YouTube read: “The app also gives you complete access to one of the richest music catalogues on earth. You’ll be able to quickly find music videos, tracks, artists and albums, but you’ll also see all the remixes, covers, lyric videos and concert footage that YouTube has to offer”.
This follows the announcement of ‘YouTube Red’, a paid subscription service launched on 28th October. Priced at $9.99 a month, the paid membership enables users to watch unlimited videos without adverts and save offline videos. A free one-month trial is available and a premium subscription to Google Play’s music streaming service is bundled into subscriptions.
The app is only available in the US for now and is on Android and iOS. Find out more here.
