Farm Aid X Ouseburn Family Pride A Success

The first Ouseburn Family Pride x Ouseburn Farm Aid saw hundreds of people come down to the Ouseburn Valley for a day of fun, education and entertainment

Sunday saw crowds of people flood the Ouseburn Valley for a day of live music, arts and crafts, drag performances, live animals and so much more.

In the Cluny bar, Generator had the pleasure of showcasing a wide range of emerging local talent with live acoustic sets from  Badmind, Faye Fantarrow, Holly Rees and Maisie May. All of the acts perfectly complimented the day of fun, entertainment and education – bringing LGBTQ+ families together and raising vital funds for Ouseburn Farm.

The day highlighted all the amazing activities the Ouseburn has to offer with LGBTQ+ storytime at Seven Stories, drag performances at The Cluny, meet-the-animals at Ouseburn Farm, arts and crafts on the village green, tours throughout the Victoria Tunnel, amazing plant based food at the Ship as well as pride pizzas in the Ouseburn Farm garden.

We are so pleased to announce throughout the day we raised over £1,300 to keep Ouseburn Farm’s animals, plants and people growing!

Our Head of Creative Development Helen Walkinshaw said

”We’re really pleased with the launch of this new partnership between Ouseburn Farm, Northern Pride and Generator North East.  We’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for collaboration and supporting more diverse programming in our community. After a tough year for the grassroots live venues in our area, the atmosphere in the valley was uplifting and heartening.”

Huge congratulations to Northern Pride for organising such a vibrant, friendly and creative event. We can’t wait to be part of Ouseburn Family Pride again in 2022
