NARCISUSS

Hailing from Manchester, this exciting four-piece have reignited the flame that was left burning from Primal Scream’s Xtrmntr. Also taking influences from A Certain Ratio and The Happy Mondays, their debut album is a belting compilation of expertly composed compositions.

 

NICK ELLIS

If acoustic guitar matched with a stunning voice and equally stunning songs are your thing then Nick should float yer boat. Hailing from Liverpool Nick has released some quite outstanding material via Mellowtone Recordings, with a new album about to hit the shops, if you have not heard Nick’s material your ears need to – now!

 

GREG WALSH

Crawling out from Robin Hood county, Greg an unsigned artist that has recently unleashed some stunning demos on Soundcloud. Folk, pop, rock, blues all feature in Greg’s work. Fleetwood Mac-era Peter Green and early Clapton spring to mind when listening to Greg’s guitar work, mixed with a freshness and originality rarely exhibited from a new artist. Exciting to behold.

 

YASMIN KIDDLE

With the same set of lungs that Amy Winehouse possessed, Yasmin Kiddle is set to hit the same heights as the aforementioned Amy. Yasmin has released her debut EP The Precede with the help of Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Craddock. A mixture of original compositions have all been recorded with a warmth which echoes the recently departed Aretha.

 

PURPLE HEART PARADE

Displaying similar tones as Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd, Tame Impala and reflecting the Pebbles collections, Purple Heart Parade are releasing exciting psychedelic new material. They’ve been drip-feeding tracks from their Lonestar EP out now. Lead track ‘Mission Hills’ exhibits Spacemen 3 type blissed out sounds which are perfect for sunnier days.
