SHAMBLES IN A HUSK

Glaswegian four-piece Shambles In A Husk are an ear-splittingly awesome prospect indeed. Rising from the ashes of two previous endeavours, Crusades and The Darien Venture, Shambles In A Husk play break-neck speed post-hardcore with plenty of other characteristics thrown in for good measure: math-rock time signatures, metal-esque pounding drums and the passionate vocals of a hardcore anthem. Imagine Refused, early Funeral for a Friend and At The Drive In got together and created a beautiful noisy baby: the result would sound something like Shambles In A Husk.

‘Medications’ is a perfect example of this melting pot approach, immediately exploding in a dramatic cacophony of noise with blistering, technical riffs and urgent vocals racing along in a blast of noise that feels like a punch in the face. A good punch in the face, obviously.
