AZEKEL

Having already enlisted fans aplenty (including Lauren Laverne and Pitchfork) with his previous Hype Machine hits, London producer Azekel has returned with new track Chronophobia. Set to feature as part of a larger body of work due in 2015 via new label Thunderlightning, Chronophobia is a marked progression for Azekel, whilst still retaining the charming, smooth R’n’B tendencies that made his recent Circa EP so impressive.

A mid-tempo and bass-heavy number at its core, Azekel manages to add colour to Chronophobia through the sparse and melodic horn blasts and background vocals. The lead vocal itself is typically impressive; dripping in soul in the way that we have come to expect, and love, from Azekel.
