BUTTON EYES

South London’s 184 is one of the most talked about producers on the UK Hip-Hop scene. So I read anyway. One quick listen to his work on ‘A Fever’, the latest track from London based musical collective Button Eyes and it’s pretty easy to see why.

The unmistakable Rag N Bone Man’s strong, powerful and soulful vocals fill ‘A Fever’ with an almost overwhelming sense of warmth. That combined with Gemma L Williams’ more icy delivery, some elusively airy melodies and wonderfully slick production help create a haunting slice of memorable, ethereal hip-pop. “I loved you with a fever” Mr N. Bone repeats as the track builds to its sweeping, soaring climax, before gently fading out – softly floating off as if it were never there.
Video’s a bit weird mind.
