CADELL

‘Fair & Square‘ sees Grime MC Cadell link up with older brother and Grime forefather Wiley.  The beat is centred around a creeping synth lead and cluttered percussion, recalling much of Boy Better Know’s early material.  With Eski-boy’s lengthy, MC’ed hook punctuated by Cadell’s deep, raspy flow, the track offers no let-up; it’s an onslaught from the brothers from Bow right from the outset.

Sparring with the likes of Novelist and running his own Artist Development agency, Cadell is hard at work cementing his position as one of Grime’s ‘ones to watch’, and co-signs like this from one of the genres all-time greats certainly won’t hurt – not that he needs it, of course.
