Expanding Tyneside Business Consultancy Firm To Double Its Workforce
A rapidly expanding business support and consultancy firm – a first of its kind in the region – has said it will double its workforce in the next months as it looks to perform on an international scale.
Future Skills Vision, based in Newcastle, has enjoyed a ground-breaking first year in business and has picked up over 50 high profile clients since it launched in August 2016.
Led by its Founder & Managing Director, Holly Thompson, the company provides innovative solutions to learning and development challenges faced by business and describes itself as a trusted provider of impartial advice, guidance, and practical support across a range of organisational development initiatives.
Ms. Thompson, a former software developer with a background in education, has said she expects to recruit a further ten members of staff to add to her current workforce of ten in the next year as the company looks to execute its ambitious growth strategy.
Looking back on a highly successful launch year, she said: “There are many ambitious plans in the pipeline for FSV as we form new partnerships and seek to further diversify our offer and client base. Part of our growth strategy is to consider both national and international markets going forward.
“Over the next 12 months we hope to see additional expansion taking place as we grow our client base and we would expect to see our headcount double, potentially including staffing outside of the North East region.
“We are unique and act as an intermediary organisation bridging the gap between business and education. We are the connector, putting businesses needs first and we’re delighted with the progress we’ve made since launching in 2016.
“My passion for developing and supporting people is what led to the setup of the business. This passion remains central to the core values, operations, and ambitions of FSV, supporting businesses to develop their employees allowing them to grow.”
Specialising in the recent apprenticeship changes, FSV’s client base is a diverse mix and consist of micro-businesses, organisations looking to scale up, large national corporate organisations and education providers.
The company currently serves the Digital & Technology, STEM & professional services sectors to support local and national agendas around bridging the skills gaps that can exist within these industries.
As it occupies the middle ground between business and education, Ms. Thompson has said it was a natural fit for the company to supply different services to both market places.
She adds: “Our current client base is predominantly North East based, covering the whole region, however, we are now seeing clients coming from other parts of the country including the North West and Southern regions.
“FSV takes a unique look at education, turning it on its head and making it work for business. Whether a business is looking to recruit a 16-year-old apprentice for the first time or wants to utilise a range of complex educational funding systems to up-skill existing employees, FSV will source the right product and services for the organisation.
“As we promote a range of local initiatives to bring on new staff to our clients we have also utilised internship and apprenticeship programmes to grow our team and moving forward we are working with local universities to offer a range of placement opportunities to undergraduates.” Ms. Thompson has urged anyone looking to upskill, retain or hire additional staff to get in touch.
