Music is known to be great for escapism and today’s tip from Jessica Doherty offers exactly that, through the music and through the lyrical imagery of escaping daily life to run, carefree, with a pack of wolves.

Jessica, from Derry in Northern Ireland has just released ‘Wolves‘ last month as her debut single but already there is a lot of maturity in her sound. Her voice is innocently shy, not unlike fellow NI singer SOAK during the rawer, higher notes of the track.

Fans of Birdy and Bon Iver’s more intimate moments will easily find a place for Jessica in their hearts as she captures a simple sound built on a haunting hazy guitar and her voice, which she layers with warm harmonies.

The 17 year old posted on her Facebook page this week that she was working on new material for her first EP so we can look forward to hearing more soon.
