Dropped like a pipe-bomb into the British rock scene, Wolverhampton band God Damn have spent the last three years nailing audiences to the walls with their sonic blasts of glorious noise. Yet their debut album Vultures offers more than just machismo, bombast and bluster. There is nuance and melody. Purpose and meaning. Heartfelt intent.

A dizzying blend of barbed wire guitars, lung-shredding vocals and drums that run away like wild horses. It’s all the more effective when you learn God Damn are a stripped-down two-piece.

While residing in Brighton, Tigercub formed in 2013. The trio honed their sound, playing a slew of shows and garnered the attention of Tom Dalgety and Ben Hampson, who produced a handful of songs (‘Centrefold’, ‘Blue Blood’, ‘Trendsetter’, ‘Little Rope’).

In December 2014, Tigercub released ‘Centrefold’ 7″ (via Blood Red Shoes’ label, Jazz Life) and received critical acclaim from the likes of NME, Clash Music and BBC Radio 1 declaring, “this is the start of something.”

The band spent the past year sharing the bill with acts such as Royal Blood, Dinosaur Pile Up, Benjamin Booker and Pulled Apart By Horses.
Tigercub’s forthcoming Single 7″ is set to be released on Too Pure Records, followed by an EP and headline tour.

Their vision fine-tuned, Tigercub deliver songs of existence, abstraction and humorous disposition of modern-day. Tigercub welcome the impending and inevitable, with open arms and a pinch of salt.

Tigercub is:
Jamie Hall (guitar, vocals)
Jimi Wheelwright (bass, backing vocals)
James Allix (drums)
