Music Publishing: The Digital Age

The escalation in the use of technology has undoubtedly had a dramatic effect on business processes and practices for the music publishing industry and though revenue sources increase and income continues to thrive, their model has had to change.

Calls for increased clarity and transparency in accounting for artist’s revenues, suggest additional changes may be required and with the perception that new publishing companies offer greater access and accountability, can the major publisher’s response ever compare?

Are the new companies really ahead of the game, will the majors ever play ball and can Bitcoin unblock the publishing chain?

This panel explores all these areas and answers the burning question: what does this all mean for the artist/songwriter?
