Roundhouse Rises

The Roundhouse Rising Festival returns in 2017, taking place from February 11th – 19th.

Now in its seventh year, the event focuses on emerging talent and will expand to nine days of live shows alongside industry panels, workshops, demos and talks for those seeking a route into the industry.

Rapper Little Simz (pictured), who started off at Roundhouse Studios will headline the main space in the venue as part of the programme. In addition, BBC Music Introducing will host the album launch for Rising Sounds 2017 with performances from Mista Silva, Catholic Action and hip hop collective SumoChief. This will be followed by a club night for “tastemakers” from around the world, where they can presumably shout over the music in an attempt to outdo each other with future predictions.

Additional artists featured this year include Vant, Edges and Boko! Boko!

Previous alumni of Roundhouse Rising include Prides, Eliza and the Bear, The Magic Gang, Hooton Tennis Club and Pretty Vicious. To see the complete line-up and find out more, go here.
