In the UK music scene today, there’s no shortage of female vocalists who choose ebbing and flowing electronica as their backdrop. With that said, the same cannot be said for those who are able to achieve it with as much effortless success as 22-year-old Silk Cinema from Tamworth, Birmingham.

As seen on debut single ‘Hope’, the songstress manages to expertly find that perfect blend between club banger and ballad – no easy feat in itself – as a sparsely produced beat suspends and frames her impressive and somewhat enigmatic vocal.

The only track thus far from the young Brummie, if ‘Hope’ is anything to go by; Silk Cinema is set to become a name on the tongue of many more as 2015 progresses.
