Stripped Back Hill of Beans

Coffee House Sessions the acoustic music touring platform are steaming up with Fame Music to launch Stripped Back, the competition that wants to grind music down to its purest form.

Stripped Back seeks to unearth the most talented acoustic artists from across the UK for a tour of 10 independent coffee houses in London as an authentic way to get their music heard by the industry, increase their fanbase and gain media exposure.

From 3rd March, aspiring artists can upload one original track and intro video to Famemusic.com. Public voting opens on 28th March to select the top 25 tracks that will then be judged by a panel including singer Nina Nesbitt, Radio One’s Huw Stephens, and producer and writer Eric Appapoulay who along with the public will select the winners who will perform live at an exclusive industry and media event in London.

The winner will then embark on the Coffee House Sessions London tour, along with special performances by Nina Nesbitt herself from 16th to 20th May 2016. The final prize also includes production of one track with Eric Appapoulay at Abbey Road, official video clip and international distribution.

Nina Nesbitt said: “I am looking to find someone a bit different, someone who is going to shake it up”.

Huw Stephens said: “This is an opportunity for some new talented songwriters to reach out and get some great experience. I look forward to hearing what’s on offer!”

Eric Appapoulay speaking exclusively to himself commented: “For me, it’s all about the music. No egos. There’s no room for egos. Concentrate on the creative. As a producer, I want to bring out the best in you and how do I achieve that? The best way is to have an understanding of the artists vision. I am looking for a singer that is going to blow me away. Someone who has that emotion and that sensitivity”.
