It’s a 90s revival. Fashion-wise we’re all supposed to be channeling early episodes of Friends. If you’re going to commit to a crop-top and boyfriend jeans, you may as well do it to a Superfood soundtrack. Their self-titled song reels against the Dubstep zeitgeist – there’s no token ‘wub wub wub wubs’ thrown in for the sake of it (although there are a few psychedelic soft-punk ‘daba daba daba dows’).

Superfood are part of B-Town’s ‘in-crowd’ and they’re in the company of fellow Birmingham-based bands like Peace and Swim Deep. They also sound a bit like Rooney? Remember, they were in an episode of The O.C once? Not really? Me neither. Let’s hope Superfood have more staying power.
