THE GREAT ESCAPE SHOWCASE PREVIEW – THE RHYTHM METHOD

Formed ‘by accident’ following a spell of unemployment, The Rhythm Method are a catchy duo from London whose sound has often been compared to both Squeeze and The Streets. Their latest single, ‘Cruel’ Feat. Zoee, was produced by non other than Mike Skinner and their rising popularity has seen them record a Maida Vale session with Huw Stephens as well as gaining admiration from Elton John and support slots with HMLTD.

Whilst it’s the memorable one-liners that will remain (She likes our Commons touch but she’s destined for the Lords, be my Cherie Blair, I’ll be your Cherie Amour) that shouldn’t belie the overall brilliance of this band. The ‘Indie Upstarts’ are playing TGE and are simply not to be missed.
