WE WERE STRANGERS

Manchester group We Were Strangers might be living up to the own past tense in their name. With an intensely atmospheric sound and a slowly developing fan base, even after only releasing two tracks on to the world, they’re earning the title of “Ones to Watch.”

In the run up to releasing their debut EP ‘Before’ in March, they’ve been teasing tracks on their SoundCloud page, one of which is the beguiling ‘I Believe’.

‘I Believe’ begins with a solitary piano line before expanding into an emotional magnum opus. Just before you thought the strings and haunting vocals were reaching a crescendo, though, they whip the rug from under your feet and end it all with a solitary, impactful vocal.

With support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, their powerfully emotional sound won’t be undiscovered for much longer.
