TOP TIPS FOR 2019: JACK SAUNDERS

We’re back and we’re ready for a whole new year of spotlighting the biggest and best emerging acts from across the UK.

Kicking things off first, we’re delighted to have BBC Radio 1’s resident new music kingpin Jack Saunders with his top tips for 2019. Formerly of Kerrang! Radio and Radio X, the MTV presenter now hosts Radio 1’s esteemed new music show (Mon-Thurs, 11pm-1am) featuring the best in guitar, rock and alternative sounds. Delve into Jack’s tips below.

ANOTHER SKY

A difficult band to describe, but a band that create an atmosphere and energy when they play. Huge live and one of my favourite finds of the year.

 

SEA GIRLS

The band to watch out for right now. Massive live show, fanbase growing every day. They can go all the way.

 

EASY LIFE

For fans of Mac Demarco. Another band that are growing very rapidly. They’re reflective dream pop is too good not to listen to.

 

CONNIE CONSTANCE

Oozes natural soul but sings like she’s in an indie band. I love her.

 

LIILY

A little gem I came across at the end of this year and I’m a big fan of. Early days but for LA based Liily they’ve got all the makings of a classic LA band.
