CAESAR

Within a mere sixty seconds of ‘Crossed Wires’, the sophomore single from angular alt-rock quartet CAESAR, it’s clear that they’re a much-needed breath of fresh air for the music scene of their native Manchester.

The song packs a punch which belies the band’s relatively short lifespan; possessing both indie-pop hooks and math-rock sensibilities, topped off with enigmatic, intriguing songwriting spoken with an intonation that wouldn’t sound out of place on an American Football record. Their influence is clear, but somehow not in the slightest bit derivative. It’s an autumnal, ethereal little opus which is already turning heads on the blogs, and rightly so.

‘Crossed Wires’ is available to stream/buy now via Blak Hand Records.’
