DELAMERE

Today’s tip is some wonderful electronic doused indie pop courtesy of Stoke four-piece Delamere. Having been together for two years creating music, Kill It is their first song in 8 months and an exciting new step for the band.

Upon listening it’s apparent that the band have had the chance to play alongside indie heavyweights like Peace as they share the ability to create a tropical brooding soundscape in their music. Kill It builds up steadily, layering percussion, synths and guitars until a really hair raising vocal drops in. As we reach the chorus it draws comparisons to Local Natives and Thumpers as harmonies and sweet guitar lines create a heavenly sound.

Released on Neck Records, Kill It is hopefully the first of many new tracks to come. The band are currently halfway through touring up and down the UK supporting the release, playing in lots of cities which will increase their profile no doubt. With huge choruses and a vocalist to be reckoned with, Delamere should this year become one of the UK’s most talked about new indie groups.
