Due to be released on July 1st on Super Recordings, ‘Smokescreen’ is part of the double A-side debut ‘Smokescreen/Taxi’ from London’s very own Fabienne.

‘Smokescreen’ is a soulful piece of RnB, with an infectious chorus that’s literally buried its way into my brain. The production is slightly retro, and keeps things relaxed and cool whilst she croons her way over the top. It’s got a modern twist that keeps things up to date, and anyone who’s enjoyed the vocals of Katy B or Aluna of AlunaGeorge will be a fan of this one. If she keeps picking up accolades like she has of late on the blogs, it’s certain that we’ll be hearing much, much more of her.
