A four-piece, Hip Hop-influenced, Funk band exploring the nature of sampling, Fold have also dedicated a project in tribute to late civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer.

Does any of the aforementioned conjure up images of four white boys from Leeds?  Thought not.  Regardless, Fold are full of innovative promise.

Their latest track ‘A Victim’s Mentality‘ is built on a foundation of intricate Jazz percussion and echoing horns, over which lauded Spoken Word poet Mr Gee delivers an understated, uplifting sermon.  “So who is the oppressor and who is the oppressed?” asks the South Londoner, “It’s the thinking of a victim in this life that brings you death.”
