GRACE ACLADNA

On ‘LondonGrace Acladna sings an intriguing paean on her love for her hometown of London expressing both the optimism and harsh reality of living in that city.

Using her chorally tinged soulful vocals and exquisitely layered electronic production she paints a picture full of sonic light and shade, much like the city itself. The production in particular stands out with its modernity and space and clever editing of vocal parts creating a texture almost upstaging the lead part.

A little like the miss-mash of architecture in the capital the voice and the track don’t always quite work together as well as they could though the result is still massively accomplished for this totally self sufficient artist.
