The North East of England’s music scene is something I hold very dear to my heart, so when an artist from the region begins to pick up national traction then it is an absolute delight to welcome them into the spotlight. Lisbon have been bubbling under the surface for a little while now, building up a steady level of momentum both within Newcastle and further afield, however it is with the release of their new track ‘Rio’ that they place their strongest foot forward.

Preceding the release of the band’s latest EP ‘Life is Good’, the reveal of the latest single demonstrates the band operating in their strongest musical veins, having crafted an anthemic slice of unadulterated pop music. Accompanied by a video filled with vibrant live footage of the band, the track is a fun blend of addictive guitar lines and an undeniably catchy chorus. Lisbon are most definitely a band to watch out for.
